Our fragrance lab has developed a direct sourcing program with communities growing ingredients around the world, like cardamom in FUNCTIONAL FRAGRANCE which is grown in Guatemala by local workers. Wherever possible we use organic ingredients, not only because organic foods are proven to be more nutrient-rich, but also because we want to support sustainable farming and clean soil worldwide. 1% of each sale is donated to charity: water, providing safe drinking water to communities around the world through 1% for the Planet.

FUNCTIONAL FRAGRANCE SET: DESTRESS + RESET is housed in 2 infinitely recyclable glass bottles. Printed with non-toxic, organic ceramic ink so as not to impact the recyclability of the material or expose the workers on the production line to potentially harmful chemicals. Every ingredient in our functional fragrances has been sourced with sustainability in mind. The cedarwood extract in FOREST LUNGS is sourced through an upcycling program in Morocco. The scent is extracted from sawdust, usually a waste product of the furniture industry, through molecular distillation. The bergamot oil comes from Calabria, Italy via our lab’s Responsible Sourcing Programme, and is grown by local producers.

FOREST LUNGS and FUNCTIONAL FRAGRANCE both use a combination of sustainably sourced natural extracts and steam-distilled essential oils, alongside safe synthetic extracts. It's not possible for us to create a 100% natural fragrance whilst being environmentally and socially responsible. Many of the extracts in fragrance are rare and hard to source in a sustainable manner, so in these instances we use “natural identical” extracts. The key extracts in the formula, including cedarwood, are sourced from upcycled and sustainable community projects. The formula is non-toxic and free from parabens, phthalates, hexanes, nitromusks and polycyclic musks.
We describe it as smelling green, woody and smoky - like a morning walk in a green pine forest. The key notes in this anti-stress scent are bergamot, benzoin, cedarwood, pine and patchouli.
